Four people were injured after a car crashed into a group of children from a primary school in the German town of Hürth, southwest of Cologne, the police reported, quoted by DPA, BTA reports.
One child and the children's companion are seriously injured, and two of them have minor injuries. According to police, there is no evidence of intentional action and the case is being treated as a traffic accident.
According to initial reports, the group was crossing a street when a 20-year-old driver hit them with his car. The causes of the incident are still being investigated.
The scene of the accident was cordoned off by law enforcement. Those with more serious injuries were transported to hospital by helicopter.
