The Public Security Bureau of the Chinese city of Guangzhou has offered an unspecified reward for information leading to the capture of more than 20 people Beijing suspects of carrying out cyberattacks against China, the official Xinhua news agency reported today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.

Authorities say the hackers are linked to Taiwan's government and name one of them as Ning Enwei. Chinese state media did not provide further information about the size of the reward.

Chinese authorities accused Taiwan of organizing, planning and deliberately carrying out attacks on key sectors such as defense, aerospace, government agencies, energy and transportation, maritime traffic, scientific and research companies in China, including in the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau, Xinhua reported.

The Taiwanese government has not yet responded to Reuters requests for comment on the subject.
