Residents of the cities of Podolsk and Klimovsk near Moscow reported explosions that caused alarm in the area. According to information from the Telegram channel "Caution, Moscow", it is assumed that these were actions of Russian air defense (ADF) systems that shot down unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Later, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that a drone that attacked Moscow was neutralized by air defense systems.

Shortly after that, he published a new statement saying that two more drones flying towards the Moscow region had been shot down. Emergency services teams have been dispatched to the scene of the fallen debris and are working to secure the areas.

Following the mayor's statements, "Rosaviatsiya" announced that the temporarily imposed flight restrictions at "Domodedovo" and "Zhukovsky" airports have been lifted. Landings and takeoffs have been restored.

Sobyanin announced this morning that air defense forces had shot down 10 drones that were flying towards the Russian capital overnight.
