Aggressive campaign! Ukrainian combat brigades compete in attracting new recruits

The acute need for fresh personnel has forced the Ukrainian army to launch a "more aggressive" advertising campaign and offer new recruits more attractive contract terms. This is what the French newspaper Le Monde writes about, quoted by Focus.

"Ukrainian units compete in ingenuity, creating distinctive visual codes, emphasizing their alleged advantages: quality training, the opportunity to choose a profession in the army, family spirit", the publication says.

The publication notes that more and more Ukrainian units are acquiring their own recruitment center. At the same time, each unit relies on different things: somewhere on the posters the soldiers are depicted with stern faces, on others - with simple slogans like.

"Mom, I am in Azov“, the French publication gives as an example of such a slogan the author of the publication.

"No commander will tell you that he is completely satisfied with the number of soldiers in his ranks“, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Lazutkin commented earlier.

Fighting for a positive image of the mobilization process, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has created communication cells in each military unit. They not only advertise their service in the army, but also participate in public events to inform the public, including about the possibility of working for the defense, using their civilian skills in the army.

"Le Monde“ managed to talk to three recruits who signed up for the 3rd assault brigade. The men admit that they were convinced by the advantages of the new contract. Some say that they had even thought about military service before.

"I want action, adrenaline. My friends who are in military service advised me to come, they say they do crazy things. It makes sense for me to be here“, says 19-year-old Igor.

The newspaper notes that the total number of recruits still does not look impressive. For example, the "18-24" contract, intended for young people, was signed by only 500 people in mid-April, the publication points out.

"If people expect that somehow we will miraculously recruit, say, half a million people, then this will not happen. The lack of personnel will be a constant problem for Ukraine, and no government will be able to completely solve it“, military expert Nikolai Beleskov commented on the situation.

UNIAN wrote earlier that in Ukraine, for the first time since 2024, the number of people ready to endure the war until victory has increased. Today, 60% of those surveyed by sociologists say that "they are ready to endure as much as necessary“.

Earlier, the Ukrainian publication wrote that in addition to the announced mobilization 50+, men over 60 can now sign a contract with the defense forces if they wish, but this phenomenon will definitely not be widespread. As explained in the Council, this mechanism is designed to attract highly valuable specialists with vast experience behind them.
