Hungary is "the black sheep of the European Union, a nightmare for Brussels, a hope for European patriots and an outpost for Christians", Prime Minister Viktor Orban said during an event today in the French town of Mormans-sur-Vernisson of the "Patriots for Europe" group in the European Parliament, the Hungarian news agency MTI reported, quoted by BTA.

"The wooden philosophers - the bureaucrats in Brussels - are attacking Hungary without having any idea what it means to fight for freedom, democracy and homeland. "They should shut up and get to work," Orban said in a speech broadcast on Hungarian television channel M1.

He said that the leader of the French opposition party "National Rally" Marine Le Pen is "a friend and a fantastic person, a tireless leader and a brave fighter who will never betray or abandon you and who follows the rules of honor."

"France must be very rich indeed if it can afford not to elect Marine Le Pen as president," Orban said.
