Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Odessa that he supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the Russian edition of the BBC reported.

Alexander Vucic is among the participants in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe forum in Odessa. This is his first visit to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.

During his speech at the forum, Vučić said that his country continues to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

"Serbia will remain very firm and unwavering in its adherence to the UN Charter, international law, which includes the protection of the territorial integrity of countries recognized by the UN as the most important principle," Vučić was quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.

He added that Serbia was offering Ukraine assistance in the reconstruction of "one or two cities or regions".

"I think this will be very visible and clear for the Ukrainian people, so that they can receive clear support," Vučić said.

Vučić flew to Moscow for the celebrations on May 9, 2025, with his plane forced to to fly through Azerbaijan, as Latvia and Lithuania refused to allow it to fly through their airspace.

Serbia, however, did not join the sanctions imposed on Russia over its military invasion of Kiev.

The visit comes amid heightened tensions between Belgrade and Moscow. Russia has recently made sharp accusations against Serbia that it is supplying weapons to Ukraine through intermediaries.

According to Russian services, Serbia has exported hundreds of thousands of shells and millions of cartridges, passing through countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria.

Moscow described this as a "stab in the back" from its traditional ally. Vucic denied that Serbia had exported weapons directly to Ukraine, but admitted that there had been transfers through third parties and assured that everything was legal.
