Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the new state armaments program should pay special attention to the nuclear triad, which consists of land-based, sea-based and aircraft-based weapons, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"Special attention should be paid to the nuclear triad, which has been and remains a guarantor of Russia's sovereignty and plays a key role in ensuring the balance of power in the world," the president said during a meeting on armaments issues.
