Photos and videos published by the Israeli military show that US-made fighter jets, F-35, F-15 and F-16 models, took part in the air strikes against Iran on June 13. This is reported by CNN, drawing attention to video and photos published by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

As Israel reported, 200 fighter jets took part in the strikes against Iran. According to Military Balance 2025 data published by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), these 200 aircraft make up almost 60% of all combat-ready fighter jets in Israel.

The United States has long been a major arms supplier to Israel.

According to IISS statistics, Israel has 39 fifth-generation F-35 multi-role fighters. The country also has 75 F-15 fighters of various models and almost 200 F-16 fighters, also of various models.

On June 13, Israel launched large-scale air strikes on Iran, using 200 fighter jets and dropping over 330 munitions on more than 100 targets.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the start of a large-scale military operation, the targets of which are Iran's nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile production facilities and other military facilities.

Netanyahu stressed that the operation will continue "until the full implementation of the tasks set".

As a result of the Israeli attacks, the death of a senior Iranian military officer has been confirmed – Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps General Hossein Salami, and a key advisor to Ayatollah Ali Shamkhani. A number of Iranian nuclear physicists are also reported to have been killed.
