Israel carried out strikes against Iran based on intelligence information according to which Tehran would have 10 atomic bombs and 2,000 missiles within six months, said Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani.
“Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar told me that the decision to launch the operation was taken based on accurate intelligence information about Tehran's nuclear and missile programs“, he said, speaking in parliament in connection with the escalation of the crisis in the Middle East.
Such developments, Tajani believes, pose an immediate existential threat to Israel, the entire region and the international community.
“According to Israeli intelligence, Iran could actually acquire ten nuclear bombs and "more than two thousand ballistic missiles to launch at Israel and beyond in less than six months. This is an absolutely alarming picture, clearly confirmed by the recent IAEA report condemning Iran's violation of its obligations on the issue of uranium enrichment," Tajani stressed.
