Iran has fired about 400 missiles and hundreds of drones at Israel since Friday and there have been dozens of strikes on Israeli territory, but the pace of attacks has slowed in recent days, an Israeli military official said today, quoted by DPA, writes BTA

The Israeli armed forces said that they destroyed dozens of Iranian missiles and more than a third of Iranian surface-to-surface missile launchers. While the reduction in attacks could be linked to Israeli operations, the Israeli military acknowledged that other, unspecified factors could also be at play.

Despite the recent lull, more major missile attacks from Iran are expected. Israeli military officials say Israel is continuing to strike Iran.

The Israeli attacks have focused on nuclear facilities and military targets, including Iranian air defenses. The initial strikes have targeted prominent nuclear physicists and senior commanders in particular.

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has launched missile and drone attacks on Israel.

The Israeli military said its forces had struck several locations in western Iran today, hitting “dozens“ missile launchers, Agence France-Presse reported.

A military statement said the Israeli air force had carried out “a series of strikes in western Iran“, hitting “several targets and dozens of surface-to-surface missile launchers“.

Meanwhile, Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency reported that several explosions had been heard north of the city of Isfahan.
