Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this morning that one of his key promises in the war against Iran had been fulfilled with US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, DPA reported.
In a video address to the citizens of Israel, Netanyahu said he had kept his word to the Israeli people - at the start of the offensive against the Islamic Republic, he announced that Iran's nuclear sites would be destroyed one way or another. "That promise was kept," Netanyahu said.
According to the Israeli prime minister, the US airstrike was coordinated between him and US President Donald Trump, as well as between the armies of both countries.
The US intervened in the war alongside Israel hours earlier and, according to Trump, completely destroyed Iran's critical uranium enrichment facilities. The targets included Iran's heavily fortified underground uranium enrichment site at Fordow.
