At least three craters have formed near the Fordow nuclear facility in Iran as a result of US strikes. This was reported by the Al Jazeera television channel, which analyzed the relevant satellite images.

The media notes that the images also show blocked entrances to the facility's tunnels. The scale of the destruction is not specified. A series of explosions also thundered in Bushehr, where the only operating nuclear power plant in Iran is located, the Iranian Nour News agency reported.

Meanwhile, it became clear that French President Emmanuel Macron will hold a meeting of the French National Security and Defense Council in connection with the latest US strikes against Iran. This was reported by the Agence France-Presse agency, referring to the Elysee Palace. The meeting is scheduled for 18:30 Bulgarian time.

The head of state has already held talks with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tareq Al Said. “In the coming hours, he plans to continue contacts with European partners and leaders of the countries of the region“, Macron's administration specified, adding that for now Paris is focused on supporting its citizens who want to leave Iran and Israel.
