In the UK, one child has died and another is in a critical condition after a tree fell on a park in Essex County, the BBC reported, quoted by BNR.
Essex Police were called to the "Chockle" park in Southend-on-Sea, after which they reported that "several children were trapped under the tree and suffered injuries".
Five children were taken to hospital, but police later confirmed that a seven-year-old girl had died from her injuries. Another six-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition. Three other children suffered minor injuries and were treated in hospital.
Police said investigations at the park were continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
There is no word yet on the cause of the tree's fall.
