Israel: We eliminated Iran's military elite, the last shot was ours

We hit an Iranian radar station before the final ceasefire, said Avihai Adraei, a spokesman for the Defense Forces

The Israel Defense Forces believe they have managed to eliminate Iran's military elite. This was announced by military spokesman Avihai Adraei.

Israel fired the “last shot” in the conflict with Iran before the ceasefire regime fully took effect, Adraei said.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier declared victory over Israel after the 12-day conflict and congratulated the Iranian people. The official representative of the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Health, Hossein Kermanpour, said that more than 620 people were killed and 4,870 were injured as a result of Israeli attacks on Iranian territory. Israel, in turn, reported more than 20 deaths and more than 1,470 wounded.

“Arab media often discuss who fired the “last shot”. In this case, it was the Israeli army, which ended the operation with a retaliatory strike after the failed Iranian attack, which did not result in casualties or serious damage,” Adrey said.

According to an Israeli army spokesman, on the morning when the decision was made to respond militarily to Iran's missile attacks that violated the ceasefire, Israeli forces responded immediately. And when the order to end the operation was received, the planes returned to base, but not before hitting an Iranian radar station.
