Russia reports 60 Ukrainian drones downed

Russia and Ukraine attack each other with drones practically every night

The Russian Defense Ministry reported today that 60 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and shot down overnight, TASS reported, BTA reported.

The largest number of drones - 17 - were destroyed over occupied Crimea. Sixteen drones were shot down over the southern Rostov region, and 11 - over the Sea of Azov. There are no reports of casualties or damage so far.

Flights to and from the airport in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, have been temporarily suspended, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported in the meantime.

Earlier, a drone threat was declared in this subject of the Russian Federation.

Russia and Ukraine are practically attacked every night by unmanned aerial vehicles. On the night of Saturday to Sunday, the Russian armed forces carried out the largest air strike against the neighboring country since the beginning of the war more than three years ago.

Five civilians were killed and nearly 90, including three children, were injured in Ukrainian drone attacks over the past week, the ambassador at large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rodion Miroshnik, told TASS. He noted that such attacks have been carried out in a number of subjects of the Russian Federation, with the Belgorod and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine being the most affected.
