The Kremlin on Tuesday denied claims by U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine that Russia was delaying peace talks, adding that Moscow had fulfilled all agreements reached during the talks, Reuters reported.

Trump's top envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said on Monday that "Russia cannot continue to waste time bombing civilian targets in Ukraine."

When asked about the comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia was grateful to Trump's team for helping facilitate the talks, but that Moscow was not delaying them.

"Nobody is delaying anything here," Peskov told reporters in Moscow.

"It is natural that we are for achieving the goals that we are trying to achieve through the special military operation, through political and diplomatic means. Therefore, we are not interested in dragging anything out."

Peskov noted that the dates for the third round of negotiations have not yet been agreed.
