American journalist Candice Owens, who claims that French President Emmanuel Macron's wife, Brigitte, is a biological man, spoke on her YouTube channel about an unusual request from US President Donald Trump.
According to her, Trump asked her “not to push this issue”. Macron personally asked the American leader to influence Owens during his visit to the White House. So the US head of state called the journalist. "I saw Macron's wife up close, I had lunch with her at the top of the Eiffel Tower - and she looks like a woman!", the president assured her, emphasizing that he did not want to spoil relations with Macron.
Owens, in turn, told Trump that Brigitte Macron had indeed visited a doctor specializing in gender reassignment surgery. The president then offered her a deal - if she agreed, he would pay for her interview.
