The EU countries are sticking to the invented trick - they put a door in front of themselves and hid behind it, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the radio, TASS reports, quoted by Focus.

Asked to comment on the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron, the diplomat suggested seeking a comment from the French embassy in Moscow. "I see that the French ambassador has started actively giving interviews since his arrival, at least he is trying to do so. It seems to me that he can also comment, why not", she commented. "You see, when they start accusing our country, when they start saying that they will never talk to us, that we should be "isolated", they are very good at it. Here, please, there is a fait accompli, please comment on it from the French side. Tell us about the motivation. Tell us why now and why not then. Tell us why they talked about other things before, why they did not maintain political contacts".

"It seems to me that exactly the same thing can be said about the embassies of other NATO countries. They have just experienced a cascade of events: NATO and EU summits. They have again agreed to "detain", "detain"," she adds. "You know, such an impression, I watch them, there was a cartoon about the three little pigs, when they have already blown everything and everyone is hiding behind the door, it's funny. And if in the cartoon the wolf was still blowing, now no one is blowing, because they [Western countries] put the door in front of themselves, hid behind it and they themselves think that somewhere it is dangerous, and in their country it is safe. This is such an invented trick".
