Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for elimination of "Hamas" on Monday, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

He spoke for the first time since US President Donald Trump announced a "final proposal" for a 60-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,

"There will be no "Hamas". There will be no "Hamastan" (a state of "Hamas"). We will not back down from that. "End," Netanyahu said.

Yesterday, Trump said Israel had agreed to the terms of the ceasefire proposed by the United States.

Meanwhile, Hamas said in a statement that it was considering a new ceasefire proposal from mediators, which aims to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip and would ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave.
