Trump's son urges CIA director to continue exposing lies about Russian interference in 2016 US election

Keep exposing the truth, Director Ratcliffe, Donald Trump Jr. wrote on the social network X

US President Donald Trump Jr.'s son has urged CIA Director John Ratcliffe to continue "exposing the lies about Russian interference" in the 2016 US election.

„Even career CIA officials are now admitting that then-CIA Director John Brennan and his cronies fabricated a false "intelligence assessment" to hurt Trump with misinformation about Russia. Keep revealing the truth, Director Ratcliffe,” he wrote on his X page.

Ratcliffe previously told the New York Post that the 44th US President Barack Obama, at the end of his second presidential term, decided, together with the then directors of national intelligence, the CIA and the FBI, James Clapper, John Brennan and James Comey, to publish a report on alleged Russian interference in the US election and thus “set up” Donald Trump in his first presidential term. Ratcliffe ordered an analysis of the work of the US intelligence agencies when they prepared a report on the interference attributed to Russia in late 2016. As a result, numerous procedural anomalies were identified.

In 2016, the US intelligence agencies accused Russia of interfering in the US election process. The investigation into these alleged attempts to influence was conducted by US Special Counsel Robert Mueller. On April 18, 2019, the US Department of Justice published his final report, in which the special counsel admitted that he had found no collusion between Trump, who won the election, and Russia. Trump has repeatedly denied suspicions of improper contacts with Russian officials. Moscow has also called the conclusions about attempts to influence the course of the US election baseless.
