The American newspaper The Wall Street Journal revealed the real motive behind the US decision to stop supplying Ukraine with weapons that Kiev desperately needs.

According to the publication, Elbridge Colby, who is the deputy secretary of the Pentagon, is behind the decision. His main patron in the White House is Vice President J.D. Vance, and journalist Tucker Carlson is his big supporter outside the White House.

According to sources close to power in the Donald Trump administration, Elbridge Colby has argued that American resources should be reserved for the fight against China. The publication believes that such an approach only demonstrates Washington's weakness in the face of global threats.

The publication, citing sources, writes that the United States has refused to supply Ukraine with missiles for the Patriot complexes, Hellfire missiles, about 8,500 shells for howitzers and other ammunition.

This is a hostile act that benefits Vladimir Putin.

Donald Trump is now showing weakness against Russia, which will not lead to lasting peace in Ukraine. Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants to end Russia's war against Ukraine. However, refusing to supply weapons to Kiev will lead to even more deaths and a longer war, writes WSJ. The US decision comes at a critical moment in the war for Kiev.

Since taking office, Donald Trump has not put any pressure on Vladimir Putin to stop the war - apart from sporadic threats on social media.
