During the last telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and France, Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, the tone varied, but the conversation was meaningful, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by TASS, BTA reports.

"There were different intonations, this is a working process, but I repeat again that the conversation was quite meaningful", said Peskov, answering a journalist's question whether the same emotionality was present during the conversation between Putin and Macron as in the leaders' previous conversations.

At the same time, Peskov said that Putin took into account his previous experience of communicating with his French counterpart when the content of their conversation got into the media.

"It is clear, given such a hypothetical possibility, "that we should have been restrained in describing our positions," the spokesman added, answering the question of whether any additional security measures were used during the last conversation between the two.
