A busy stretch of road in South Florida could soon be named “Donald Trump“ Boulevard, the Associated Press reported, BTA reports.

The Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners will vote today on a resolution that would rename a 4-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard in honor of the former U.S. president. The stretch runs from Palm Beach International Airport to Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.

A resolution passed by the Florida Legislature earlier this year and signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis requires the state Department of Transportation to install signage along the stretch of road.

The bill also includes a proposal to name another stretch of road after three Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department officers who died in a crash last year.

If the resolution passes, the new signs would be installed by September. The change is a formality, meaning that mailing addresses and emergency services will continue to use the designation "Southern Boulevard."
