North Korean leader Kim Jong-un assured Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of his readiness to support Moscow's measures “to fundamentally resolve the situation in Ukraine“, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
“Comrade Kim Jong-un once again expressed the DPRK's readiness to continue to unconditionally support all measures taken by the Russian leadership to fundamentally resolve the situation in Ukraine in accordance with the spirit of the interstate treaty between the DPRK and the Russian Federation“, the agency reported. The meeting between Kim Jong-un and Lavrov took place on July 12 in Wonsan.
“Comrade Kim Jong-un expressed confidence that under the exceptional leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the army and people of Russia will certainly achieve victory in the sacred cause of defending the dignity and vital interests of the country, the prosperity of the Russian Federation, and wholeheartedly wished that only victory and glory would always accompany great Russia“, KCNA added.
Earlier, at a press conference after talks with DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Song-hui, Lavrov said that the DPRK reaffirms its unreserved support for all the goals of the special military operation and the actions of the Russian leadership.
