A 25-year-old Greek woman who admitted to killing four children was transferred today to the Korydallos maximum security prison in Athens, reports the Kathimerini newspaper, BTA reported.
Irini Mourzoukou testified on Saturday before an investigating judge in the western city of Patras. According to her lawyer, she made a full confession.
Mourzoukou was arrested early last week in connection with the deaths of her two children and the child of her friend from the town of Amaliada. The woman was charged with serial murder and attempted murder. Police accuse her of attempting to strangle her friend.
The case became known in Greece in August last year, when her friend's 15-month-old daughter died under suspicious circumstances, recalls “Kathimerini“.
Police have linked Murzouko to four child deaths between 2021 and 2024.
