The North Atlantic Alliance wants to use Chisinau in a conflict with Moscow, the press service of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reports, RIA Novosti reports, quoted by Focus.

"According to information received by the SVR, NATO is actively preparing to involve Moldova in a possible armed conflict with Russia. Brussels has decided to accelerate the transformation of this country into a front bridgehead of the alliance, taking into account the offensive of the Russian armed forces in Ukraine," the agency states.

According to the SVR:

"NATO is trying to make the territory of Moldova suitable for the operational transfer of alliance troops to the Russian borders. The bloc expects the Moldovans to become "cannon fodder" during hypothetical military operations.

The alliance leadership is forcing Chisinau to adopt its own concepts of warfare. Military instructors from the bloc countries are arriving in the Moldovan army and specialized training centers are being deployed.

Chisinau expects NATO to support the pro-presidential party "Action and Solidarity" in the upcoming parliamentary elections. In case of victory, Maia Sandu has promised to cancel the country's neutral status. Parliamentary elections are scheduled for September 28".

"The president and her entourage intend to hand Moldova over to NATO in order to "destroy" it in a military conflict with Russia".
