Russian President Dmitry Peskov's press secretary noted that Germany is becoming dangerous again, TASS reports.
He expressed this opinion to RBC in response to the statement by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius about the readiness to kill Russian soldiers in the event of a war between the countries.
"Germany is becoming dangerous again, said Peskov, noting that he finds it difficult to believe Pistorius' words. But, alas, it is so," he added.
The German minister had earlier told the Financial Times that German troops would be prepared to kill Russian soldiers in the event of an attack by Moscow on a NATO member.
Pistorius will also meet US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth to seek clarity on US arms deliveries to Ukraine, missile deployment plans and the future of US troop numbers in Europe.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump said he would send Patriot missiles to Ukraine. He did not give an exact number but said the European Union (EU) would reimburse the United States for the cost of them.
Germany has already donated three Patriot missiles to Kiev as Ukraine has come under some of the heaviest Russian attacks in recent weeks.
