US President Donald Trump said he was disappointed but not done with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by "Reuters", citing his interview with the BBC, published hours after the American leader announced new weapons for Ukraine and threatened Russia with sanctions.

"I'm disappointed with Putin, but I'm not done with him. But I am disappointed with him," Trump insisted.

"We're going to have a great conversation. I'll say, "That's good," I'll think we're close to it, "and then he'll knock down a building in Kiev," the president said.

Yesterday, Trump announced new weapons for Ukraine and threatened sanctions on buyers of Russian exports unless Moscow agreed to a peace deal.

This is a major shift in U.S. policy, prompted by frustration over Russia's continued attacks on its neighbor.
