The West is practically waging a full-scale war against Russia, so Moscow must respond in full and, if necessary, take preemptive strikes. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, quoted by "Reuters" and TASS.

"What is happening today is a proxy war, essentially a full-scale war (launches of Western missiles, information from satellites, etc.), packages of sanctions, loud statements about the militarization of Europe - another attempt to destroy the "historical anomaly" hated by the West - our country Russia," he emphasized.

"We must act accordingly. To respond in full. And, if necessary, to take preventive strikes," Medvedev threatened.

In his words, Moscow "no longer has any illusions" about the country's relations with the West.

However, he dismissed as complete nonsense the statements of Western representatives that Russia could attack Europe.

"Let me remind you that our president has unequivocally stated that Russia has no intention of fighting NATO or of "attacking Europe," Medvedev insisted.
