Warsaw condemns attack on Barlinek factory in Vinnytsia as violation of international law

Poland summoned a representative of the Russian embassy for talks in connection with the attack on the Polish company “Barlinek“ factory in the Ukrainian city of Vinnytsia. This was reported by the press service of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by Evropeyskaya Pravda, cited by Focus.

The meeting took place on July 16, the day after a night attack with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which damaged the “Barlinek“ factory, specializing in the production of flooring.

“The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the representative of the Russian embassy that the attack on the ‘Barlinek’ factory, a Polish company with "...a purely civilian, and constitutes a violation of international law," the ministry spokesman said in a post on the X social network.

On July 16, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski confirmed that the plant had been hit by Russian drones.

Sikorski expressed hope that the European Union would soon adopt the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, and promised new supplies of military aid to Ukraine.
