A cadet shot two instructors at a training center in Ukraine's Chernihiv region and was detained by police, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
The police in the northern Ukrainian region reported the incident on "Facebook".
"Yesterday, the police received information that on the territory of the training center, during the shooting, a cadet fired an automatic weapon at military instructors. Two soldiers died as a result of their wounds," the police statement said.
A pre-trial investigation has been opened in connection with the shooting.
