Iran has restored and reoriented its air defense systems, damaged during the military aggression by the US and Israel, announced the deputy commander of the armed forces for army operations, Rear Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, quoted by the state news agency IRNA, BTA reports.

According to him, radar and air defense systems were among the main targets of the military actions, which lasted 12 days. "The criminal Zionist regime has launched a cowardly aggression against Iranian soil," Mousavi said, accusing Israel of seeking to paralyze the country's air defenses.

Despite the damage, Iranian forces have managed to secure the airspace by using existing systems and introducing new ones. "Many systems were damaged, but were quickly replaced and deployed to predetermined positions," he said.

Rear Admiral Mousavi stressed that Iran's air defense forces have regained control of the country's airspace and that the enemy "has not achieved its goals despite desperate attempts." He expressed confidence in the readiness of the Iranian armed forces to respond to any external threat, calling their actions an example of commitment and effectiveness during military operations.
