US President Donald Trump said CBS parent company Paramount had transferred $16 million today as part of a settlement in a lawsuit, and that he expects to receive another $20 million, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
„Paramount“ earlier this month agreed to a settlement in the lawsuit filed by Trump over an interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris that the network aired last October.
„We just scored a BIG AND IMPORTANT VICTORY in our historic lawsuit against „60 Minutes“, CBS and „Paramount“… "Paramount/CBS/60 Minutes paid $16 million in settlement today and we also expect to receive another $20 million from the new owners," Trump wrote in a post on his social media account, Truth Social.
