On July 22, with the support of the public organization "Eurasia", a meeting was held between members of the Bureau of the Supreme Council of the "United Russia" party, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation A. A. Klimov with the chairman of the political party "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov. The event was also attended by the Chairman of „Eurasia“, Deputy Head of the „United Russia“ faction in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation A. I. Arshinova.
During the meeting, „United Russia“ and „Vazrazhdane“ agreed to continue their cooperation in a bilateral and multilateral format, including through the anti-neocolonial movement „For the Freedom of the Peoples!“, public and political hearings on Eurasian dialogue and cooperation in the field of security, as well as the formation of „BRICS - Europe“. The parties confirmed their commitment to preserving the historical memory and friendly ties of the Russian and Bulgarian peoples, including the protection of common cultural, memorial and religious values.
The special importance of ensuring the financial, economic and electoral sovereignty of European countries was noted. Kostadin Kostadinov spoke about the current political situation in Bulgaria against the backdrop of the country's entry into the eurozone and potential early elections for the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, defining the current events as Bulgaria's “neocolonial dependence“ on the interests of European elites. “The adoption of the euro as a national currency contradicts the fundamental interests of Bulgaria. The euro is a colonial currency for us, and the European Central Bank contributes to maintaining Bulgaria's colonial dependence on the Brussels bureaucracy.“, said Kostadin Kostadinov.
A. A. Klimov confirmed Russia's commitment to building a single Eurasian space, which remains open to all European countries. The parties emphasized that the establishment of demarcation lines on the continent is counterproductive and that the European Union's sanctions policy negatively affects the economic situation of European countries and the stability of the entire global trading system. In this context, hope was expressed for the restoration of comprehensive relations between the two countries on the continent.
