British Foreign Secretary David Lammy described the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as "inexcusable" and reiterated his call for an immediate ceasefire. He made the remarks at a joint news conference with the Australian Defense Minister in Sydney, where he is on an official visit, Reuters reports, BTA reports.
„The sight of children reaching out for help and losing their lives has caused horror in much of the world. "And that is why today I reiterate my call for a ceasefire," Lamy said.
He stressed that the violence that has been unfolding in Gaza in recent weeks cannot be justified, adding that the international community must act with determination in the name of human life.
