Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia is trying to compensate for the lack of significant breakthroughs on the front by waging information warfare, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
„They are not advancing. It is very difficult for our guys there. And it is difficult everywhere. It is very difficult for the „Russians" too - that is good for us. And the „Russians" do not want to fight, except for their leaders. You can feel that. More of them have come. There is more pressure, more mobilization. Therefore, we have more risks. They are really trying to make a breakthrough. But they have no serious breakthroughs," Zelensky said in a conversation with journalists.
„What is the situation with Pokrovsk. How many times has the sabotage group entered? I spoke with the army, and now with (the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Gen. Oleksandr Syrsky. He said that during this period - from five to seven times. Two people, six people. Only once they (the Russians) tried to provide 12 people. They tried to make some kind of video: they raised a flag, filmed it... and they were all destroyed by our defenders," the president said.
