British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will meet US President Donald Trump today, who is visiting the UK, PA Media and DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The two leaders are expected to discuss the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the future of US tariffs on British steel.
The two leaders have built a good relationship despite their different political orientations, with Trump praising Starmer for doing a very good job as prime minister.
The British Prime Minister's Office said Starmer would "welcome the fact that the president's administration is working with partners in Qatar and Egypt to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza".
"He will also discuss with him what more can be done to bring the fire to an immediate end and to end the unspeakable suffering and hunger in Gaza, and to release the hostages who have been held so cruelly for so long," the Prime Minister's Office said.
Starmer and Trump are also expected to discuss the implementation of the US-UK trade deal signed last month.
The two leaders are also expected to discuss the war in Ukraine.
Trump is currently on a private visit to the UK. He will return in September, this time for a state visit.
