Yemeni Houthis said yesterday that they will attack all ships belonging to companies that work with Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
The Houthis explained that this is the fourth stage of their military operations against Israel. A spokesman for the Yemeni movement said that the ships would be attacked if the companies did not heed the warnings issued by the Houthis, regardless of the destination of the particular ship.
"The Yemeni armed forces call on all parties, if they want to avoid escalation, to put pressure on the enemy to end its aggression and lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip," the spokesman added.
Since Israel launched its military operation in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the Houthis have been attacking ships they believe are traveling to Israel or are linked to the Jewish state. They present their actions as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinians.
