Russian airline Aeroflot reported a computer system outage on Monday that could lead to temporary disruptions to service, Reuters reported.
"As a result, changes to the schedule of some flights are expected, including delays and cancellations," the Russian national carrier said on the "Telegram" app.
"Specialists are currently working to minimize the impact on the flight schedule and restore and normalize service," the company said, without specifying the extent of the outage or its possible cause.
Despite sanctions imposed on Russia over the war in Ukraine, which have drastically limited travel and destinations, "Aeroflot" remains among the top 20 airlines in the world by passenger numbers. In 2024, "Aeroflot" Group carried over 55.3 million passengers, according to data on the airline's website.
