US President Donald Trump said today that he expects tariffs in the range of 15-20 percent for countries that have not negotiated a trade agreement with Washington, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I would say it will be somewhere in the range of 15-20 percent. Probably some of those numbers", Trump said at his golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland.
The US head of state had previously indicated that his administration would send letters to about 200 countries notifying them of tariffs on imports of their goods into the US market. Trump has imposed additional tariffs of 10 percent on most countries since April, and many others expect import duties on them to increase from August 1.
