Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law on imposing sanctions on ships and aircraft participating, in particular, in the so-called shadow fleet of Russia for the transportation of oil and oil products, Ukrinform reported, referring to the text of bill No. 13020, posted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, BTA reports.
The law provides for the imposition of sanctions on ships and aircraft participating in the Russian "shadow fleet" for the transportation of oil and oil products, weapons and military.
The document provides for amendments to the Ukrainian law "On Sanctions" on imposing sanctions on ships and aircraft whose activities pose a real and potential threat to the national interests, national security, territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
The Security Service and the Intelligence Service of Ukraine are tasked with identifying and establishing the facts of the use of such ships.
On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on the application of sanctions against ships and aircraft with 291 votes in favor.
