Former US Vice President Kamala Harris will likely be subpoenaed by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to testify about former President Joe Biden's deteriorating health, said committee Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican.

“The other good thing, besides Kamala Harris not running for governor of California, is that she will have more time to come and testify before the House Oversight Committee about Biden's cognitive decline. The likelihood of Kamala Harris being subpoenaed is very high“, he said in an interview with Fox News.

Harris previously announced that she would not run for governor of California next year. Before becoming Vice President of the United States in 2021, she served as a senator from California for four years and as the state's attorney general from 2011 to 2017.

On June 5, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered an investigation into his predecessor's health as head of state and the use of an automated signature by his aides to sign documents on Biden's behalf. Trump had previously said that Biden's pardons of about 2,500 people, including his relatives, were invalid because they were signed without the former president's knowledge.
