Joint work between Russia and the United States on the International Space Station (ISS) program will continue at least until 2030 - the countries will cooperate on the issue of deorbiting the station.

This was stated by the deputy head of Roscosmos, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international cooperation in space Sergey Krikalev, TASS reports.

"Even if we stop regular operation, it will mean that it is time to start deorbiting. Working together, we have found a deorbiting profile that will take about two years. So we will have to work together at least until we sink it - and that will not be earlier than 2030," Krikalev said at a press conference.

It was given before the launch of the Crew Dragon Endeavour spacecraft with the crew of the Crew-11 mission.
