White House Spokesperson Caroline Leavitt, during her last press conference, mentioned the role of US President Donald Trump in ending world conflicts, citing Kosovo and Serbia among the conflicts prevented by Trump, KosovaPress agency reported for BTA.

„President Trump has already ended conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia, Israel and Iran, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, as well as Egypt and Ethiopia. The President spoke directly by phone with the acting Prime Minister of Thailand and the Prime Minister of Cambodia to inform both leaders that if they do not end their conflict, there will be no trade negotiations or agreements with the United States. This means that President Trump has brokered an average of about one peace agreement or ceasefire per month during his six months in office,” Leavitt said.

It is worth recalling that President Trump has repeatedly mentioned his mediation efforts in relations between Kosovo and Serbia as part of the US's efforts to prevent conflicts. In September 2020, at the White House in the presence of Trump, Kosovo and Serbia signed the Washington Agreement, focused on economic normalization, KosovaPress Agency recalls.
