The introduction of secondary sanctions and the use of Beijing and New Delhi as instruments of pressure on Russia will lead to the defeat of the United States in the political confrontation.
This opinion was expressed by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, the leader of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky.
„The desire of the Euro-Atlantics to turn Beijing and New Delhi into a „lever for pressure“ on Moscow by introducing secondary sanctions and tariffs is doomed to failure. The global majority is unlikely to play by the rules of the Western minority. That would be stupidity“, the MP wrote on his Telegram channel.
Slutsky recalled that India and China openly reject pressure from the United States. Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stressed that relations with Russia have their own value and should not be viewed through the prism of third parties. Beijing also consistently opposes external interference in its economic relations with Moscow.
According to the MP, the unipolar world and the enormous influence of the West are a thing of the past. “Neither China nor India want to pay “tax“ to the claimants to hegemony and sacrifice their own sovereignty on the altar of “American exceptionalism”, Slutsky emphasized.
