A medical evacuation plane crash near Chinle Airport in Arizona has claimed the lives of four people, the administration of the "Navajo" Indian reservation, where the incident occurred, reported.
“A small twin-propeller medical evacuation plane crashed and caught fire near Chinle Airport at about 12:40 p.m. (10:40 p.m. Bulgarian time). There were four people on board, whose deaths have been confirmed“, the press release said.
The plane was reportedly traveling to a hospital to pick up a patient. Representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The cause of the accident has not yet been announced.
