Russia will not stop the genocidal war, as it seeks the complete destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians. This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian officer Igor Lutsenko during an interview with the "Vidverto" channel on Youtube, UNIAN reports, quoted by Focus.

The military notes that Russia's position in the war remains unchanged, taking into account the recent statements of the Russian President's aide Vladimir Medinsky, who announced his readiness to "fight forever".

"That is, now we are at the initial stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war. We must prepare for the worst-case scenario, and this scenario was openly voiced by the enemy. And that's why Trump is known for making extravagant statements. In this case, the extravagant statement is understandable for us too. No Russians will stop in any way on August 8“, Lutsenko emphasizes.

He also commented on the statement of the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel that the temporary occupation of Ukrainian lands by Russia could become the price of Ukraine's survival as a sovereign state.

"I am sure, and this is confirmed by numerous statements and positions of the Russian side, that their goal is the genocide of Ukraine and Ukrainians. And in this goal, the temporary occupation is only a temporary occupation. That is, it is temporary in our direction, not in theirs. Temporary means that they temporarily occupy, and then they will occupy everything. Then they will move on. Therefore, in no way will we buy ourselves off from Russia with partial concessions. We must understand that the Russian nation wants the Ukrainian nation to disappear. This is a consensus that is pushing Russia deeper and deeper into the war, and they like all of this,” the Ukrainian officer said.

According to him, the only thing that does not suit the Russians is the pace of the takeover of Ukraine, but they understand these "difficulties on the way and are ready to endure".

Lutsenko believes that Ukraine should focus on this plan of the Russians and proceed from the fact that they will try in every way to destroy the Ukrainians.

Trump's ultimatum to Russia

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced a deadline of August 8, by which Russia must end the war against Ukraine. Trump has threatened Russia with high tariffs and secondary sanctions if the killings in Ukraine do not stop.

At the same time, according to Reuters, Putin does not want to end the war against Ukraine, as the Russian army is advancing on the front and the situation in Ukraine is difficult. The Russian General Staff also assures Putin that the Ukrainian front will collapse in two to three months.
