Israeli Defense Force fighter jets hit the town of Tulin on Wednesday during massive attacks on southern Lebanon, killing an 11-year-old boy, the republic's Health Ministry said.

“An Israeli aircraft fired a missile at the village of Tulin, in the border region of Marjayoun, as a result of which an 11-year-old boy was killed and another local resident was wounded“, the statement said. “Information received about casualties after the airstrike on the Syrian city of Deir, the number is being specified“.

As reported by the Al Mayadeen TV channel, loud explosions occurred near the cities of Jbaa, Jezzine and Nabatiya, located north of the Litani River, where the alleged targets of the Shiite militia Hezbollah are located. The Israeli Air Force last struck this area on July 27, when 4 people were killed and 12 were injured. According to the Ministry of Health of the republic, despite the ceasefire agreement reached on November 27, 2024, Israel has carried out more than 4 thousand attacks on Lebanese territory since the beginning of the year. The attacks and shelling have left 230 dead and 496 injured. The authorities did not specify the number of civilian casualties or the number of losses suffered by Shiite fighters.

The Israeli army said that the latest strikes on southern Lebanon targeted military facilities of the Shiite organization Hezbollah.

“The Israel Defense Forces carried out strikes on Hezbollah terrorist targets in southern Lebanon“, the statement said. Among the targets attacked, the military cited “weapons depots“, “missile launchers“ and “facilities where engineering equipment was stored, which allowed the reconstruction of the terrorist infrastructure in the area“.

According to the army, the movement continues to try to reestablish itself throughout the republic, “using the Lebanese population as a human shield“.

“The presence of weapons and Hezbollah activity in the area is a violation of the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon“, the press service noted.
