Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said today that an agreement has been reached for a meeting between the presidents of Russia - Vladimir Putin, and the US - Donald Trump, in the coming days, Reuters and TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

The two countries have started preparing for it, Ushakov added. White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said last night that Trump is ready to meet with Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The venue for the meeting between the leaders of the US and Russia has been agreed, Ushakov explained.

"We will announce it in a few days. "Next week is designated as a reference point, but it is difficult to say how many days it will take to prepare for the meeting," the adviser said, quoted by TASS.

He added that White House special envoy Steve Witkoff, who met with Putin in Moscow yesterday, had raised the idea of a trilateral meeting between Putin, Trump and Zelensky, but Russia "left this without comment," TASS said.
