US President Donald Trump said today that it is crucial for Middle Eastern countries to join the Abraham Accords, emphasizing that this will contribute to achieving lasting peace in the region. The news was reported by the Reuters agency, BTA reports.
“Now that the nuclear arsenal that Iran “was building“ has been completely DELETED, it is very important to me that all Middle Eastern countries join the Abraham Accords“, Trump wrote in a post on social media.
The Abraham Accords, initiated during Trump's first term, led to the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and four Muslim countries with the mediation of the United States.
Reuters notes that efforts to expand the initiative have been hampered by the escalation of violence and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, including the increasing number of victims and starving people.
